Program Notes:
Trio No. 3 was composed in September 2018 for a crossover event between Radford University and Queens University of North Carolina. There are three themes that are developed throughout the piece. The first one opens the trio in the guitar. For the second theme, it is a variation of the opening theme which occurs in the clarinet and violin. The third theme also opens in the guitar and develops into a cannon-like idea.
